MArtap receives its funding from the Federal Transit Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Transportation in Washington, D.C. Here in Massachusetts, the state's Executive Office of Transportation (EOT) has contracted with MARTA, the Massachusetts Association of Regional Transit Authorities to administer the MArtap program. What's really important to you, as a beneficiary of MArtap, is to have an understanding of MArtap services. For the most part, MArtap is designed to meet the needs of transportation providers in rural and small urban regions of Massachusetts, although agencies that serve urban populations are eligible for help as well. We try to make our products and services easily accessible and simple to use. For example, MArtap offers: -- Free training to drivers of public transportation buses and vans -- Training scholarships so you can afford to attend important conferences and workshops anywhere in the country or in your own community (link The Resource to enable visitors to access past issues) -- A newsletter, "The Resource" with MArtap news you can use in print and on line -- Additional services that you will learn about as you explore this web site. So, now that we have your attention please continue your journey into the world of MArtap. If there is information that you feel should be added to this website, just let us know. Thanks for visiting, and feel free to contact us with any of your comments and/or questions. c/o MArtap PO Box 155 Foxboro, MA 02035 Phone: 877-MArtap1 (627-8271) Fax: 508-698-2002 E-mail: info@martap.org |
